WAPIRITS TUMUGI
Born from Japan’s long tradition of brewing with koji, WAPIRITS TUMUGI blends honkaku barley shochu made entirely with barley koji—rich in flavor and aroma—with botanical koji spirits. The botanicals are five carefully selected ingredients from Japan, each infused and gently extracted to capture their natural character, then balanced to perfection.
Botanical Koji Spirit
TUMUGI is crafted from five distinct botanical koji spirits: kabosu and mint from Oita, yuzu from Shikoku, lemon from Setouchi, and mikan (Japanese mandarin) from Mikkabi. Each is harvested at peak season, carefully hand-processed, and infused fresh into a koji-based spirit. To capture their unique character, both infusion and distillation are done separately, resulting in five aromatic botanical spirits that are then blended in harmony to express a distinctly Japanese taste.
